Sheet 06
Open source
Every app is published under the MIT license. This page covers the license, how to open an unsigned build, how to build from source, and how to report a security problem.
MIT license
You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell copies of the software. The one condition is that the copyright notice and the license text stay with every copy.
The software comes without warranty. If a build eats a file, the license says that is not our liability, which is one more reason the sync and delete actions in our apps go to the Trash first.

Opening an unsigned build
Our builds are ad-hoc signed but not yet notarized by Apple. Gatekeeper therefore stops the first launch. The app is not damaged; macOS only can't vouch for who made it.
- 01Unzip the download and move the app into Applications.
- 02Open it once. macOS says it can't check the app. Click Done.
- 03Open System Settings, Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to the app's name.
- 04Confirm with your password. From then on the app opens like any other.
Check the download against the published SHA-256 first:
shasum -a 256 -c ScreenShare-1.1.0-macos.zip.sha256
Or remove the quarantine flag in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ScreenShare.app
Building from source
Each app page lists its own build command. All of them need Apple's Command Line Tools (xcode-select --install); some want full Xcode 16. The output lands in build/ or dist/ inside the repo.
- 2Password
./scripts/install.sh - ScreenShare
Scripts/build-app.sh - LogoForge
./scripts/bundle.sh - DirCompare
./scripts/build-app.sh - Reisekosten
scripts/build-app.sh
Reporting a security problem
Please don't open a public issue for a vulnerability. Email the details to the address below. You get a reply within three working days, and a fix ships as a new release with a note in the changelog.

Issues and pull requests are welcome once a repo is public. Small, focused changes with a test merge fastest. Bigger features: open an issue first so we can agree on the shape.
