What it does
A speed slider that snaps to 1x
Slide from 0.25x to 4x, or type any speed from 0.1x to 8x. ⌥⌘P turns on pitch correction, so voices keep their pitch at double speed.
Spectrogram centred on the playhead
It shows 40 Hz to 20 kHz on a log scale. Click to seek, drag to scrub and pinch to zoom the time window.
Analysis in about 2 seconds
A 4,096-point windowed FFT at about 86 columns per second analyses a 10-minute file in about 2 seconds on an M1.
Opens common formats directly
MP4, MOV, M4V, MP3, M4A, WAV and AIFF play straight away. With ffmpeg installed, Kinora converts MKV, WebM, AVI and other formats on the fly.
Keyboard control
Step one frame at a time, jump 10 seconds, loop and switch to full screen from the keyboard.
Good to know
- MKV, WebM, AVI and other formats play only when ffmpeg is installed.
- The spectrogram needs a file with an audio track.
System requirements
- macOS 14 or later
- Mac with Apple silicon
- ffmpeg from Homebrew to play MKV, WebM, AVI and other formats
