What it does

• Your library is a folder of files

  Keywords, notes, goals and labels sit in YAML front matter inside each file. Open an outside folder and edit it in place; changes from other apps show up live.

• Export to nine formats or publish

  Export PDF, Word, ODT, RTF, ePub 3, HTML, Markdown, plain text or TextBundle in four styles. Publish drafts or live posts to WordPress, Ghost, Medium, Micro.blog or any Micropub endpoint.

• Grammar and style check offline

  19 rules for English and German run on your Mac, underline problems in the editor and offer one-click fixes.

• Goals and version history

  Set a goal in words, pages or reading minutes with a deadline, and follow it on a 30-day chart. A snapshot every 10 minutes, and before every AI change, lets you go back.

• AI menu and Ask Claude

  Press ⌘E for 16 actions that edit, change tone or generate text, or write your own prompt templates. Ask Claude (⇧⌘A) can search, read and edit the whole library.

• A local MCP server for AI agents

  A server on 127.0.0.1 with a bearer token gives agents 20 tools, every document and 4 prompt templates. You can switch off the tools that delete or overwrite.
