Tinydeck

A small skinnable music player with a 10-band EQ and a playlist that dock together

Tinydeck plays your music from three windows that snap together: the player, a 10-band equalizer and a playlist editor. It loads .wsz skins, including shaped windows, and has seven themes of its own. It plays MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, WAV and AIFF files and internet radio streams.

What it does

  • Drop a skin on any window

Tinydeck reads .wsz skins, .zip files and skin folders, including shaped, click-through windows. Drop a skin on any window and it is installed.

  • Seven themes, or start your own

Seven themes are built in. Export the current skin as a .wsz file and use it as the starting point for your own.

  • 10-band EQ from 60 Hz to 16 kHz

Each band moves up to 12 dB either way, with a preamp and a response curve. Use 18 presets or your own, load them per file, and import or export .eqf files.

  • Spectrum and oscilloscope

The visualizer has several draw modes, peak markers and adjustable falloff speeds.

  • Playlists that tidy themselves

Open and save M3U, M3U8 and PLS. Sort or shuffle, remove duplicates and dead files, and type a few letters to jump to a track.

  • Windows that stay docked

Windows snap to each other and to screen edges. Double size and the one-line shade mode keep them attached. Z, X, C, V and B run playback, and media keys and Control Center work too.

Good to know

  • Tinydeck comes with its seven built-in themes only. Other .wsz skins you load yourself.
  • Tinydeck plays files, playlists and radio streams. It has no music library.

System requirements
