What it does

  • Bass lines with accent and slide

Each bass-line synth runs a saw or square oscillator into a 4x-oversampled diode-ladder low-pass. Both have accent and slide.

  • Drums synthesised from scratch

Both drum machines build every hit from resonators, shaped noise and six-oscillator metal voices, all synthesised in code.

  • 32 patterns per section

Each section holds 4 banks of 8 patterns, 1 to 16 steps long, with shuffle per pattern. Cut, copy, paste, clear, shift, random, alter and transpose work on any of them.

  • Song mode records every knob move

Pattern changes land on the downbeat, and knob moves record at 32nd-note resolution. Punch in on a single control to redo just that part.

  • Four effects

Distortion goes on any section. A rhythmic filter runs 55 patterns, followed by a compressor and a tempo-synced delay.

  • Play it from MIDI, export loops

Channels 1 and 2 play the synths, 10 and 11 the drum machines with GM drum notes. All 127 panel controls are automatable and MIDI-learnable, and loops export as WAV.

Good to know

  • The standalone app runs on its own clock and does not follow MIDI clock. As a plug-in it follows the host's tempo and transport.

System requirements

  • macOS 11 or later
  • Apple silicon or Intel Mac
  • Formats: AU, VST3, Standalone
  • A host that loads Audio Units or VST3 plug-ins, for the plug-in versions
