What it does

  • Three oscillators you can combine

Each oscillator mixes pulse, saw and triangle, spans 16' to 2' and has pulse width and hard sync.

  • Ladder filter with a 7-octave contour

The 24 dB/oct ladder filter self-oscillates and follows the keyboard. Its contour amount reaches 7 octaves.

  • Two contour generators

Attack runs from 1 ms to 10 s, decay and release from 2 ms to 20 s. Both contours can follow the keyboard.

  • Six mod slots and MPE

Six free slots route 16 sources to 27 targets. Ironwood reads velocity, aftertouch, polyphonic aftertouch and MPE with 48-semitone per-note bend.

  • Arpeggiator with chord transposition

Up, down, up-down, random and played order, with +1 or +2 octaves, swing, gate and sync from 1/1 to 1/64. A semitone sequence transposes the held chord.

  • Effects in any order

EQ, resonator, chorus, delay, phaser and reverb each take their input from the synth or from any other effect. There are 12 factory effect presets.

Good to know

  • The LFO (0.1 to 100 Hz) is monophonic and shared by all voices. Per-voice movement comes from oscillator 3 and the filter contour.
  • Polyphony stops at 16 voices.
