What it does

  • Two channels in every voice

Each channel has an oscillator with pulse, triangle, saw, PWM, noise and sine waves, then a 12 dB high-pass into a 12 dB low-pass filter.

  • 22 one-button voicings

Press one to set a channel's sliders to a preset voicing, or copy it onto either channel and edit from there.

  • Variation in each voice

Three variation presets or your own tolerances set how far each voice differs, with slow pitch drift. A ring modulator has its own attack and decay envelope.

  • Function generators with 16 points

Three breakpoint generators run as envelopes or LFOs. A two-source mixer with 8 operation types combines modulators and routes them to 42 destinations.

  • Aftertouch, MPE, breath and microtuning

Tandem responds to polyphonic and channel aftertouch, MPE with per-note bend up to 96 semitones, breath and expression. It supports MTS-ESP, and every control takes MIDI learn.

  • Effects and arpeggiator

Three effect slots run in series or parallel with 15 types and 75 presets, plus a dedicated tremolo and chorus. The arpeggiator has 7 modes over 1 to 4 octaves.
