Mix your own music files on four decks, with stems, 52 effects and automix.
Crateful is a four-deck DJ app for the music files on your Mac. It analyses BPM, key and energy, splits tracks into stems and syncs 52 effects to the beat. Six layouts cover turntable decks, stacked waveforms, single-deck track prep, automix and music video mixing.

What it does
Stems at about 30x realtime
Split a track into 2, 3 or 4 stems (vocals, harmonic, bass, drums) on the GPU. An optional downloadable model does the work, and a built-in fallback runs without it.
Send any effect to a single stem
Each deck has 3 beat-synced effect slots fed from 52 effects. Route an effect to one stem, or play it from the X/Y pad.
Automix with bar-aligned transitions
Queue tracks and Crateful beat-matches them with transitions 4 to 32 bars long. When you mix by hand, 18 crossfader presets give you a one-click transition.
Pads, sampler, sequencer and looper
16 hot cues per deck in 8 colours, auto loops from 1/4 to 32 beats and loop roll. An 8-pad sampler, a 16-step drum sequencer with swing and a 6 x 8 clip looper follow the master tempo.
Your library comes along
Import rekordbox XML, Traktor NML and Serato crates. Export XML and NML playlists, or prepare a USB stick for club media players.
Controllers, timecode and Bluetooth MIDI
68 controllers have built-in mappings, and MIDI Learn reaches every control. Timecode vinyl input and Bluetooth MIDI are built in.
Good to know
- Crateful plays files stored on your Mac. It does not connect to streaming services.
- Controllers outside the 68 built-in mappings need to be set up with MIDI Learn.
- Direct USB control works with first-generation club media players only. Newer players connect over their network link.

- macOS 15 or later
- Mac with Apple silicon
- An internet connection for the one-time 84 MB download of the optional stem model
Network access
Apart from the licence check, it connects only to these, and only for the feature named:
- Meta's download server, to fetch the optional 84 MB stem-separation model when you ask for it
